The MDA II is a fully automated analyzer for clotting, chromogenic
assays and immunoassays. This is the professional system for the
most demanding, busy environment. Any test can be run at any time
in any order. The MDA II delivers accurate results quickly, safely
and efficiently. Throughput is high, regardless of the number
of assays being run.
Normalization of prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial
thromboplastin time (APTT) provides consistent results between
instruments, reagent lots and labs.
The MDA II's advanced optical system flags interfering substances,
ensures proper volume delivery and ensures optimal performance
of each assay. The MDA's patented Waveform Analysis Technology™
alerts the operator to abnormal waveform patterns.
The first of the MD/Alert Tools available is the A2 Flag™,
which flags the operator to the presence of the biphasic waveform.
This
atypical waveform has been associated with a potentially serious
coagulopathy such as seen in Sepsis and Disseminated Intravascular
Coagulation
and can occur even with a normal clotting time. The A2 Flag can
provide an early alert to the need for further clinical and
diagnostic
investigation.
