Job Function: Designs, implements and manages all benefit programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Flexible Spending Accounts) as a significant component of total compensation. Responsible for legal compliance according to established procedures. Manages defined benefit and contribution plans. Operates as one of the primary internal resources for Benefits, Compensation and HRIS team, HR management team and payroll. Provides and document excellent customer service to internal customers regarding benefits including employees at all levels, which also includes the Executive Team, HR Managers/Directors, Finance/Payroll Department, and IT Department. Follows internal guidelines and established benefits practices to maintain legal compliance for all benefits programs and HR activities, including 5500s, non-discrimination testing, financial audits, etc. Facilitates new hire orientation, coordinate annual benefits enrollment and initiate other special projects as needed.
Job Qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Benefits Administration role. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and superior customer service skills. Requires demonstrated knowledge of benefits practices and relevant laws (COBRA, FMLA, HIPPA). Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required. Adobe Acrobat experience preferred. Experience with ADP (Enterprise), Report Smith or close related applications required. Knowledge of financial accounting practices required. Individual must work independently, must be a team player, and must have strong problem solving skills.
