Odyssey Lab Innovation and Automation at Work

Molecular Diagnostics

  • NucliSENS® easyMAG™ - a breakthrough platform specifically optimized for delivering premium quality nucleic acid
  • EasyQ® - first automated system to combine NASBA and real-time molecular beacon detection

Clinical Microbiology

  • VITEK® 2 - fully automated system that performs bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing
  • VITEK® 2 Compact - available in two sizes, easy to set up and operate, and features Advanced Colorimetry™ identification technology to enhance performance
  • BacT/ALERT® 3D - state-of-the-art, automated microbial detection system that integrates blood, sterile body fluid, platelet quality control testing and mycobacteria culturing

Physicians Office Laboratory

  • VIDAS® - designed testing device stores the calibration in the analyzer's memory, thus optimizing the cost-per-patient result
  • miniVIDAS® - compact version of the VIDAS system with a built-in computer, keyboard and printer

Emergency Medicine

  • VIDAS® D-Dimer Exclusion™ - first and only D-dimer assay in the United States to be cleared for exclusion of both conditions – with no further testing – when used in conjunction with a pre-test probability (PTP) assessment, in low-to-moderate probability outpatients

Cosmetics

  • VITEK- enables fast identification, within hours rather than the days required for classical methods
  • VITEK 2 Compact - features test cards with an expanded database and an automated, simplified workflow that significantly increases laboratory efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepared Culture Media - includes a wide variety of prepared culture media products, including more than 500 plated, tubed, bottle and bagged media

Food

  • VIDAS - designed testing device stores the calibration in the analyzer's memory, thus optimizing the cost-per-test result
  • TEMPO® - food industry’s first automated quality indicator testing system for the enumeration of quality indicator organisms in food and environmental samples
  • miniVIDAS - compact version of the VIDAS system with a built-in computer, keyboard and printer as well as two independent sections each accept six tests and can process up to 12 samples simultaneously
  • BacT/ALERT 3D - improves the way the laboratory works while raising the standards for detection and recovery, while implementing easy identification and data integrity

Diagnostics

  • DiversiLab™ System - system includes the equipment, reagents and software for microbial genotyping of bacteria and fungi
