PC 5.01: another leap forward in VITEK® 2 software capabilities
VITEK® 2 System PC 5.01 offers improved workflow via multi-user remote access. In addition, it enables users to access multiple functions remotely, thereby eliminating the need for direct computer interface with the VITEK® 2 instrument. The new release is simple to use, and it improves the accuracy of data analysis reporting. The software includes advanced rules capabilities that are unique to each laboratory to ensure that the test results are linked to the laboratory’s testing algorithms. bioMérieux also updated the VITEK® 2 System’s Advanced Expert System™ (AES), which indentifies resistant strains along with the associated therapeutic corrections. Laboratory results are presented in clear, simple terminology. The new release also preliminary results analysis and reporting, MIC suppression, organisms identification download capability from the hospital LIS, and QC organism lists for comprehensive or streamlined QC.
