UPDATE #2 - April 6, 2023

It is our goal to be in constant contact to support and proactively address any questions or concerns you have regarding the Lombard, IL culture media production site that was affected by a recent weather event communicated on Tuesday April 4th, 2023.*

We remain confident that all orders due within the near term will be shipped in full and on time. As we are processing orders, we have made the decision to review all orders prior to shipment moving forward. This decision was made to enhance our capacity to monitor our stock efficiently and to meet your demand for the near term. This review will not impact the delivery lead time of your order.

This new process prevents our system from automatically informing you of the shipment date, but it still allows the shipment of products that are available in our inventory. As a result of this modification, you may see on your order confirmation a ship date of “to be confirmed” instead of the usual ship date.

Maintaining your operations is our top priority. Our assessment of stock situations for all Lombard products is ongoing and additional updates will be communicated as needed.

*As a reminder, only bioMérieux prepared culture media manufactured at the Lombard, IL facility was affected by the storm. There is absolutely no impact to other bioMérieux solution ranges.

In a spirit of partnership and transparency, we are communicating a weather-related incident in which severe storms partially damaged one of bioMérieux’s culture media manufacturing sites in Lombard, IL on March 31, 2023.

Our dedicated team of professionals are assessing the extent of the damage and are continuing to work around the clock to make necessary repairs to the facility. At this time, our current inventory is projected to meet near-term customer requirements.

As the situation evolves, we will provide timely updates. We are committed to maintaining our exceptional record of above-and-beyond customer service with minimal disruptions and are thankful for your understanding in this extraordinary circumstance.
